Mike Thompson - President & CEO
 
 
As President and CEO of Groupware Technology, Mike Thompson provides the leadership and vision essential for propelling company-wide success. His cross-functional skill-set, innate business savvy and real-world understanding enables him to provide the creativity and strategy needed to build and grow a successful organization.
With well over a decade of industry experience, Mike spends much of his time managing all phases of the business process. Starting from the ground up, he has gained extensive experience and an overall respect for all organizational platforms. Mike is responsible for setting the vision, developing the strategy and managing the execution of corporate initiatives and goals. He is actively involved in managing and developing relationships and strategic alliances with vendors, partners and end-users. He has been recognized for his work in improving operational efficiencies to enhance the end-user experience and overall satisfaction, and has proven his ability to increase profitable annual revenues year over year.
Recognized by the industry for his thought leadership and he sits on several Advisory Boards. He’s also active in helping fellow entrepreneurs who are interested in his expertise and experience. Mike has built the foundation for Groupware to continue its unprecedented growth and success.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and an MBA, graduating with honors, from Regis University.
Scott Sutter - Executive Vice President
 
 
As a central part of the management and sales team, Scott Sutter brings 15 years of sales and business development experience to Groupware Technology. Scott is responsible for growing the sales team and building the professional services delivery team to meet the needs of the company's growing customer base. Scott's experience with large-scale service engagements and dedication to customer service has enabled him to build top-notch sales and service teams.
Scott has been recognized for his thought leadership and participates on a global advisory board. Scott's passion for customer service excellence continues to be an integral part of leading the organization to profitability and success.
Scott earned his bachelors degree from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
Anthony Miley - Vice President of Strategy
 
 
Anthony Miley is responsible for the vision and execution of the company’s strategy and is an integral player in Groupware’s sales and business development efforts. Bringing 18 years of sales and business leadership experience to Groupware, Anthony takes an active role in mentoring and coaching Groupware's sales talent, and he is a key component and leader of the Groupware Sales team. Anthony’s strategic execution and commitment to customer service will continue to propel the company to new levels.
Anthony is an alumnus of California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
Josh Avila - Vice President of Operations
 
 
As Vice President of Operations, Josh Avila oversees key business functions by establishing and maintaining polices and procedures for all departments. Backed with 15 years of management experience, Josh brings strong leadership to the Groupware Team with a great reputation for developing solid, hard working teams. Josh is responsible for ensuring that Groupware is easy to do business with by creating and maintaining operational efficiencies both domestically and internationally.
Josh is a member of the HAAS School of Business.
John Barnes - Director of Sales
 
John Barnes is a key player in the execution of corporate sales and growth goals. In his role as Director of Sales, John is responsible for the Bay Area sales team leadership and training, and customer acquisition. John has over 13 years of sales experience in information technology and excels at nurturing long-term relationships with enterprise customers. John’s experience and commitment to customer service has helped foster the growth of the organization.
John Barnes graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 1993 and holds a BA in Sociology.
Tim Carver – General Manager, Pacific Northwest and Professional Services
 
Tim Carver is a veteran IT sales executive with a proven track record and strong industry relationships in the Pacific Northwest. In his role as PNW General Manager, Tim leads the PNW expansion by building the sales, technical and operational teams to effectively deliver comprehensive IT solutions and exceptional service to customers in the region. Tim opened the Portland office in downtown Portland in July 2007.
Tim’s expertise in the information technology space includes software, hardware and services and both channel and manufacturer experience.
Saurabh Saxena – Manager of Professional Services, HQ
 
As Manager of Professional Services in the Campbell office, Saurabh Saxena is responsible for building out and maintaining the Network and Security practice for Groupware. He will be focusing on design, implementation and support of various network and security solutions offered by Groupware Technology. With over 10 years of extensive management and Information Security experience with channel and vendor environments, Saurabh brings a unique combination of management and technical skills to the Groupware team.
Saurabh has a Bachelors Degree in Physics & Mathematics from University of Lucknow (India) and various Industry Certifications.
