Groupware President & CEO Mike Thompson Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 Northern California Award Semifinalist

Campbell, CA (April 12, 2011) – Groupware Technology, Inc. today announced that president and CEO Mike Thompson is a semi-finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 Northern California Award. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mike Thompson was selected as a semifinalist by a panel of independent judges from hundreds of nominations. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 25, 2011 at The Fairmont San Jose.

Since taking the helm at Groupware in 2005, Thompson has led the company from $2 million to over $140 million in sales of complex IT solutions and services. The company’s success has been recognized by Inc. magazine, CRN, VARBusiness, and Silicon Valley Business Journal and by its technology partners including Oracle, HP, NetApp and IBM. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies, which will be held November 9-13, 2011.
