As President and CEO of Groupware Technology, Mike Thompson provides the leadership and vision essential for propelling company-wide success. His cross-functional skill-set, innate business savvy and real-world understanding enables him to provide the creativity and strategy needed to build and grow a successful organization.
With well over a decade of industry experience, Mike spends much of his time managing all phases of the business process. Starting from the ground up, he has gained extensive experience and an overall respect for all organizational platforms. Mike is responsible for setting the vision, developing the strategy and managing the execution of corporate initiatives and goals. He is actively involved in managing and developing relationships and strategic alliances with vendors, partners and end-users. He has been recognized for his work in improving operational efficiencies to enhance the end-user experience and overall satisfaction, and has proven his ability to increase profitable annual revenues year over year. Mike has built the foundation for Groupware to continue its unprecedented growth and success.
Mike sits on several Advisory Boards and has been recognized by the industry for his thought leadership. He is also active in sharing his experiences with fellow entrepreneurs, as well as mentoring new talent. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and an MBA, graduating with honors, from Regis University.
As Executive Vice President, Scott is responsible for the company’s sales and professional services organizations. Scott’s charter is to elevate the level of collaboration and synergy among cross functional teams and regions to consistently deliver an extraordinary experience to Groupware customers. Scott is a customer-service fanatic, and his tenure at Groupware has helped to create the culture that empowers employees to go the extra mile to meet and exceed customer expectations. Scott's experience with large-scale service engagements, competitive nature and passion for service has enabled him to build top-notch sales, technical and customer support teams.
Scott provides the leadership and strategic direction for the sales organization, working with the regional sales managers to identify sales goals and strategies to ensure territory growth and customer satisfaction. Scott has a proven ability to select, train and retain self-motivated, customer-oriented employees in a highly competitive industry. His excellent presentation, negotiation and team-building skills have helped propel the continued growth of the company as he works to advance the company’s solution-selling agenda.
In additional to sales, Scott is responsible for Groupware’s Professional Services team to make certain the resources and procedures are in place for successful project delivery from design/architecture though implementation. Scott works closely with the regional Professional Service managers to plan and deploy technical resources and define practices that best support the needs of the customer base.
Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
Anthony Miley is responsible for the vision and execution of the company’s strategy and he is an integral player in Groupware’s sales and business development efforts. Bringing 18 years of sales and business leadership experience to Groupware, Anthony takes an active role in mentoring and coaching Groupware's sales talent, and he is a key component and leader of the Groupware Sales team. Anthony’s strategic execution and commitment to customer service will continue to propel the company to new levels.
Anthony received his Bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
As Vice President of OperationsJosh Avila oversees key business functions by establishing and maintaining policies and procedures for all departments. Backed with 15 years of management experience, Josh brings strong leadership to the Groupware Team with a great reputation for developing solid, hard working teams. Josh is responsible for ensuring that Groupware is easy to do business with by creating and maintaining operational efficiencies both domestically and internationally.
Josh is a member of the HAAS School of Business.
Stacy Thompson is responsible for financial management and planning at Groupware and oversees the design and execution of the company’s financial policies and procedures. In accordance with the company’s growth and future goals, Stacy conducts resource planning for the future as well as managing the accounting department, banking and credit facilities. Stacy’s leadership has been critical to the company’s ability to maintain profitability while financing the company’s strategic investments.

John Barnes is a key player in the execution of corporate sales and growth goals. In his role as Director of Sales, John is responsible for the Bay Area sales team leadership and training, and customer acquisition. John has over 15 years of sales experience in information technology and excels at nurturing long-term relationships with enterprise customers. John’s extensive knowledge of enterprise technology, experience and commitment to customer service has helped foster the growth of the organization.
As General Manager, David Killough is responsible for cultivating customer and partner relationships and managing the sales operations in Oregon and Washington. David is a twenty-year veteran in the Information Technology industry and has direct experience in all of its key aspects: sales, engineering, support, and client satisfaction. Prior to Groupware, David held leadership roles at Sun Microsystems and StorageTek and he has extensive management experience.
As manager of professional services, Saurabh leads a highly skilled team in design, implementation and support of IT solutions in key practice areas including virtualization, enterprise applications, network and security, systems and storage solutions. Saurabh is responsible for resource development, recruitment and retention of Groupware’s Professional Services division. With over 10 years of extensive management and consulting experience within channel and vendor environments, Saurabh brings a unique combination of management and technical skills to the Groupware team.
Justin Stevens has been a commended Information Technology consultant for over 10 years. As Practice Manager, Justin is responsible for the growth and strategic direction of Groupware’s storage and virtualization practice. Justin has earned a reputation as a customer advocate and he will act as a technical liaison between the customer, account management team and vendors to optimize the performance, efficiency and return on customers’ storage and virtualization initiatives. Justin’s depth of expertise in systems, storage and virtualization solutions and strategic skill sets in architecture, design and project management make him a valuable resource for our customers, partners and growing professional services teams.
Justin received his B.S. in computer science from Pacific University and lives outside of Portland, Oregon with his wife and two young boys.
Tina has over 15 years of marketing and business development experience. She is responsible for the overall corporate marketing strategy including branding, advertising and lead generation within the western region. In addition she has the responsibility of building marketing relations and demand generation solutions to increase Groupware’s market share with key manufacturers such as Oracle, HP, IBM and Cisco. Tina joined Groupware Technology in 2009 and prior to that held various marketing positions at Sun Microsystems.
Vinay is responsible for the leading the Network and Security practice in the delivery of the practice’s services, including pre and post sales activities. Vinay Prabhu has over 15 years of consulting experience, specializing in the design and architecture of Networking and Security solutions for medium and large enterprises. Vinay has achieved high level certifications with Cisco, Juniper, VMware and Microsoft and has extensive project management experience.
Vinay is a highly accredited and experienced IT consultant with specialized expertise in Networking and Security. His high level experience in the design and integration of complex networking solutions has proven to be extremely valuable to his customers and to the teams of project managers and engineers he manages.
Renata is a valuable IT sales veteran, and her tenure with Groupware includes experience in operations, purchasing and sales. In her role as Inside Sales Manager, Renata is responsible for developing and implementing sales methodologies and processes that support the needs of customers, partners and Groupware sales teams. Renata is instrumental in helping achieve revenue goals and helps to facilitate collaboration between sales, engineering and operations to meet customer requirements. She works closely with sales teams to leverage our relationships with our partners on behalf of customers and Groupware’s internal stakeholders.
Renata helps to cultivate and mentor inside sales representatives, identify growth opportunities and hire new resources as needed to achieve business goals.
